Robert R. "Camanche" Silvia, 68, of Fall River, passed away on Thursday. He was the husband of Nan M. (Keilty) Silvia, with whom he shared 45 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, son of the late Alfred and Rose (Moniz) Silvia. His childhood days were spent with his friends, "The Lafayette Boys" where he was bestowed with his nickname. A Vietnam Veteran of the U.S. Army, he worked in construction and belonged to the Local #610 Union. He loved fishing and boating and greatly enjoyed the free gifts from his Field and Streams magazine subscription. Besides his wife, Robert is survived by his children, Becky Silvia (boyfriend - Brian Dubois) of Fall River, Matthew Silvia (fiancee - Khara Bettencourt) of Somerset and Thomas Silvia (wife - Shannon (Ahearn)) of Fall River; a sister, Rosemary "Rosie" Brogan (husband - Michael) of Fall River; grandchildren, Kyle Felix, Jocelynn Felix and Austin Silvia; and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, December 2, in our Fall River Chapel follow by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
