Robert F. Rapoza, 69, of Davenport, FL, passed away on May 18, 2018 in Haines City, FL. surrounded by his loving wife of fifty years, his two daughters, and his son-in-law. He was the husband of Anita (Bergeron) Rapoza. Robert was born in Fall River and was a son of the late Gabriel F. Rapoza and the late Celina Myrtle (LaForce) Rapoza.

He was an employee for the City of Fall River for over thirty years holding many positions from trash collector to crane operator as well as supervising the cedar youth program in the summertime. Mr. Rapoza lived most of his life here in Fall River, where as a young man, played softball for as many teams as he could. He was a member of the Saint John's Athletic Club for many years and was also owner and operator of the Nashua Street Café and the Lowell Street Market. Later in life, Robert moved to Swansea. After retirement, he settled down in Florida where he organized and enjoyed playing many golf tournaments. He also loved bowling and his visits to the race tracks.

Besides his wife of fifty years, he leaves: two daughters, Melody Morgan and her husband David Brown of Fall River, and Jessica Brilhante and her husband Steve of Fall River; five grandchildren, Justin Souza, Matthew Quintal, Briona Brilhante, Rylee Brilhante and Skyla Brilhante; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Souza and Penelope Quintal; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Gabriel F. Rapoza, II.

His Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, May 30th, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
