Obituary

Roger M. Charron, 77, of Fall River, husband of Grace (Yamin) Charron, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Edward Charron and the late Emma (Lord) Charron.

A Veteran of the United States Army, he bravely and proudly served his Country during the Vietnam era. Prior to his retirement he worked as a Supervisor at Lightolier for many years. An avid New England Sports fan, he also, in his younger days, played softball and basketball. He loved crossword puzzles, board games, golfing, tennis, and wintering on the West Coast of Florida. Roger also enjoyed listening to vintage music, particularly the music of Roy Orbison. Most important to Roger was spending quality time with all his family, especially his grandchildren who lovingly referred to him as "Giddo".

Besides his loving wife of fifty-three years, he leaves his children, Christopher P.  Charron of South Carolina and Samuel B. Charron and his wife, Tia, of Sudbury, Massachusetts; his three grandchildren, Steven Charron, Riley Charron, and Felicie Charron; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the grandfather of the late Christopher Charron, Keisha Charron, Oliver Charron and brother of the late Irene Bridge, Edward Charron, and Raymond Charron.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 1st, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church. A private cremation followed. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Roger's memory to: The American Cancer Society, Centralized Memorial Processing Center, P.O. Box 1120, Framingham, MA 01701 OR St. Anthony of the Desert Church General Fund, 300 North Eastern Avenue, Fall River, MA 02721.
