Roger G. Petit, 84, of Fall River, husband of Mary Jane (Marques) Petit, passed away on June 8, 2011 at Catholic Memorial Home. Born in Fall River, son of the late George & Eva (Chabot) Petit, he was a US Navy veteran of WWII and worked for many years with F.R. Electric (now National Grid), retiring in 1991. Besides his wife, he leaves: 6 children, Donna Jeanne Petit (companion Alfred Almeida), Roger Michael Petit (wife Debbie), Patricia Cross (companion Jeffrey Magoni), Karen Cauthen (husband James), Alan Petit (wife Jackie) & Lynne Marie Petit; 2 siblings, Georgette Brisson (husband Ernest) & Normand Petit (wife Jean); a sister-in-law, Anne Petit; 16 grandchildren; 2 step grandsons; several nieces and nephews. He was also father of the late Cynthia Therrien, and brother of the late George Maurice Petit. Following his cremation, a memorial mass was celebrated at the Catholic Memorial Home followed by the internment of his cremains at Notre Dame Cemetery. In his memory, remembrances may be made to a charity of one's choice.
