Rogerio A. Ferreira, 83, of Fall River, husband of the late Maria Fatima (Pestana) Ferreira, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2019, at St Anne's Hospital after a short illness. Born in Sao Sebastiao, Ponta Delgada, Madeira, a son of the late Joao Aires Ferreira and the late Alice (Freitas) Ferreira, he emigrated to Fall River in the late 1960s.

He worked for many years in the local textile industry, retiring from the former Joan Fabrics in the early 1980s. An avid Benfica fan, he enjoyed the outdoors, music, and spending time with family – especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by: two sons, Rogerio A. Ferreira Jr (wife Crystal) and Ronnie Ferreira (fiancée Sherree Andrade) both of Fall River; a sister, Cidalia Carreiro of St Michael, Azores; seven grandchildren, Samantha Ferreira, Joshua Ferreira, Tyler Vieira, Maria Ferreira, Alexia Ferreira, Kaitlyn Ferreira, and Cameron Ferreira; four great grandchildren, Liliana, Angel, Emilee, and Avery; and many nieces & nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, June 19th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
