Roland L. Laliberte, 83, of Somerset, husband of the late Dorothy M. (Grello) Laliberte, died at Charlton Memorial Hospital on Saturday after a long illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late Joseph N. and Eva R. (Martin) Laliberte, he lived in Somerset for the past 50 years. An Air Force veteran of the Korean War, he worked for many years as a scrap yard crane operator and was an avid fisherman. Father of Barbara A. Urban (husband Peter) of Somerset and Michelle Lamarre (husband George) of Griswold CT. Brother of Joseph, Albert and Paul Laliberte, Bertha Swidzinski, Florentine Motta, Rita Otocki and the late Florence Gomes, Rose Folster and Jeanette St. Laurent. Grandfather of Jason (wife Jennifer) and Nicole Lamarre. He also leaves a great granddaughter, Alyssa, and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, July 17, in St Dominic Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
