Ronald W. Bernier, 51, of Somerset passed away on October 3, 2010 unexpectedly. Born in Fall River, son of Madeline (Tavares) Bernier of Somerset and Ronald Bernier of Westport. Ron coached for over 15 years in the Maplewood Babe Ruth League. During his tenure, he served as vice president and in 1984 led the 13 year old division to their first ever State Championship. He had formerly worked at Lightolier and Chadwicks. Besides his parents, he is survived by 4 children; Ronald Bernier, Jr. of Somerset, Melissa Bernier of Portland, OR, Jesse Bernier and Jacob Medeiros, both of New Bedford; a grandchild, Christian Bernier of Somerset; several aunts, uncles and cousins. His funeral service was held at Silva-Faria Somerset Funeral Home. He was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
