Ronald
Vital
d. Dec 17, 2023
Ronald Vital, 74, of North Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 17, 2023 at St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Manuel Vital and the late Altina (Guimaraes) Vital. He was also the brother of the late Paul Vital and brother-in-law of the late Joan Vital.
He was raised in Westport and attended a school for children with special needs. Throughout his youth, Ron enjoyed spending part of his summer at Camp Jabberwocky on Martha's Vineyard. After the passing of his parents, he became a resident of North Dartmouth living at a LifeStream facility and attending the Mill Road Day Program. Ron was an avid New England sports fan, always cheering on the Patriots and the Red Sox. He also enjoyed painting, computers, and attending New Bedford Bay Sox and UMass Dartmouth games. But most notably, Ron was loving, happy, and always positive, and truly cherished his family and friends.
He leaves behind his loving nieces, Lisa Bertuola and her husband, Lawrence, and Jennifer Green and her husband, John; his grandnieces, Gabrielle and Sofia Bertuola; his grandnephews, Christian and Aiden Green; and many loving cousins.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, December 23rd, at Our Lady of Grace Church in Westport followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Ron's memory to: LifeStream Incorporated, P.O. Box 50487, New Bedford, MA 02745.
Ronald's family would like to thank LifeStream for their kindness and exceptional care that Ron received during his stay with them.
Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support. If you were unable to do so, because of health concerns or any other reason, all are urged to express their sympathy online or by mail. To ensure that said condolences and/or sympathy cards reach the family, please always make sure that submissions online are made directly through the funeral home's website (www.silvafaria.com) and not through a third party. Thank you!
