Rosalina F. Gomes, 94, of Fall River, wife of the late Alberto Gomes, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at St. Anne's Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, she was the fifth and last surviving child of the late Joao and Maria (Silva) Fernandes. She was a homemaker who loved to cook, bake, sew, knit, and crochet. An avid Red Sox fan, she had the delightful experience to watch her grandson, who pitched for the Tampa Bay Rays, play and win against the Red Sox. She is survived by all seven of her children, Cesarina Guries of Wisconsin, Jose Gomes, Maria Gomes of New Bedford, Linda Carp, Paul Gomes, Luiz Gomes and John Gomes of Providence; eleven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Her funeral arrangements by the Silva-Faria Funeral Homes were private.
