Rose Maria Jacob, 53, of Fall River, wife of Jose E. Jacob, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday. Born in Graciosa, Azores, she was a daughter of Maria Zelinda (Silva) Silva and the late Francisco Marcelino Silva. Rose was the owner of Royalty Florist for many years prior to her retirement. She loved shopping, decorating her home, baking, traveling, and family gatherings. A selfless woman, she had a heart of gold, always placing others before herself. Her greatest joys in life were her children and grandchildren. Besides her husband, she leaves: her children, Derek Sodre and his wife Stephanie of Lowell, MA, Brian Bragan of New Hampshire, Joshua Mendonca, Isaiah Echeverre, and Bianca Silva all of Fall River; seven grandchildren, Amaya Rose Mendonca, Aubree Lynn Mendonca, Noah Sodre, Mia Sodre, Jovanni Silva, Jhayli Rivera, and Mackenzie Bragan; a brother, Michael Silva of the Azores; sisters, Rita Hernandez and husband Wilbert of Ohio, Diana Magalhaes and her husband Bruno of Fall River, and Leslie Cunha and her husband Richard of Billerica, MA; and many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, May 21st, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her private cremation.
