Rose A.
Mccomb
d. Jun 9, 2023
Rose A. McComb, 79, of Somerset, wife of Donald A. McComb, passed away on June 9, 2023, unexpectedly. Born in Fall River, only child of the late Henry Howell Helger and the late Rose A. (Boutin) Helger, she resided in Somerset since October 1998.
She loved animals, birdwatching, observing other wildlife, lounging by the pool, and more than all enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren. She was great at art and drawing. When her children were young she was considered the "Mom of the neighborhood." She enjoyed spending time with all the children and sharing her artistic skills with them.
Besides her husband, of 25 years, she is survived by: two children, George H. White (wife Roberta "Roby") of Colorado and Kevin L. White (wife Lynne) of New Bedford; two stepchildren, Daniel McComb (wife Rebecca) of Fall River and Michael Racicot of Warwick, RI; and five grandchildren, Erick, Aaron, and Sydney White, and Russell & Thomas McComb.
Following a private cremation, a Memorial Gathering was held on Monday, June 26th, in our Somerset Chapel followed by her committal and burial of her cremains at Nathan Slade Cemetery also in Somerset.
