Obituary

Roy B. Forcier, 81, of North Dartmouth, husband of Susan Mary (Soares) Forcier and the late Linda (LePage) Forcier, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following a long illness. Born in Fall River, he was the son of the late Homer J. Forcier and the late Florence (Roy) Forcier.

Prior to his retirement he was a machinist for Morse Cutting Tools for many years. He loved fishing, boating, martial arts, trips to the casino, cruises, playing pool and traveling to such places as Florida, Las Vegas, and St. Thomas. An avid football fan, particularly of the Raiders, he also enjoyed watching wrestling and, in his younger days, played soccer. Roy had a "knack" for telling stories, especially those from many years ago, and could "elaborate" those stories to make them more interesting. Most important to him was his family and spending quality time with all of them.

Besides his wife, he leaves his children, Deborah A. Majewski and her husband, Edward, of Swansea, Jaime D. Forcier and his long-time companion, Karyn Shea of Fall River, and Jennifer D. Pavao and her husband, Brian, of Tiverton; his grandchildren, Brittany, Jack, Trevor, Cynthia, Holly, Heather, Madison, Kenneth., Aimee, and Samuel; his three great-grandchildren, Alecia, Radmir, and Damian; and many nieces and nephews. He was also the father of the late Kenneth R. Forcier, grandfather of the late Melanie Majewski, and brother of the late Sandra Ferris.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 13th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fall River, followed by a private cremation. His cremains were buried following a private committal service on May 20th at his family plot in Notre Dame Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Roy's memory to: Shriner's Hospital for Children, Burn Care, 51 Blossom St., Boston, MA 02114.
