Ruth M. Cerce, 86, of Raynham, widow of James R. Cerce, passed away at home on Thursday, December 14, 2023, the result of injuries sustained in a housefire. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Enibel Rebello and the late Olive (Espinola) Rebello.

Prior to her retirement, she had worked for a number of years at Joe's Gas of Lakeville. Ruth enjoyed traveling with her husband, trips to the casino, and spending time with family.

She is survived by: four daughters, Debra Carvalho (husband Alan) of Fall River, Linda Westgate (husband William) of Taunton, Laurie St. Laurent (husband Roger) of Berkley, MA, and Jodi Souza of Brooklyn, CT; one sister, Joyce Martin of West Virginia; eight grandchildren, Chris, Keri Ann, Jessica, Nicole, David, Ross, Jaime, and Michael; twelve great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was also the mother of the late James A. Cerce; sister of the late Richard A. Rebello; and great great grandmother of the late James J. Cerce.

Her Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 22nd, in our Somerset Chapel followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery in Fall River.
