Ruth C. (Anderson) Cranshaw, 90, of Somerset, widow of William Cranshaw Jr., passed away on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, at Country Gardens Nursing Home in Swansea. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Oscar W. Anderson and the late Ruth (Hollins) Anderson, she was a BMC Durfee High School graduate and in 1957 she moved to Somerset where she lived most of her life.

In addition to being a homemaker, when she was young she had worked for several years as a school cafeteria attendant and later managed the food concession at New England Telephone formerly of Main St in Fall River for a number of years. Active in the arts, she enjoyed painting and was a former member of the Fall River Art Association.

She is survived by: two sons, David M. Cranshaw (wife Barbara Carr) of East Sandwich, MA, and Robert C. Cranshaw (wife April) of Somerset; three grandchildren, Alexander R Cranshaw and Jonathan Cranshaw both of New York and Jaden R. Cranshaw of Somerset; a great grandson, Andrew: and several nieces and nephews. Ruth was also the mother of the late Stephen W. Cranshaw (wife Susan Medeiros of Worcester, MA) and the sister of the late Robert Anderson.
