Ruth Teixeira, 90, formerly of Fall River, widow of Edward P. Teixeira, passed away Saturday 2/24/18 at Whaler's Cove Assisted Living. Born in Bray, County Wicklow, Ireland, and raised in England, daughter of the late George & Edith (Duckers) Bellis, she was a World War II bride, emigrating to Fall River in 1946.

Employed as a supervisor at the former Ann & Dale Cookie Co, Fall River, before retiring many years ago, she enjoyed dancing and reading, and also volunteered at Charlton Memorial Hospital for 10 years.

She is survived by: three children, Edward Teixeira (wife Doreen) of Somerset, Bruno Teixeira (wife Sandra) of Fall River, and Maureen Costa (husband Eduardo) of Fall River; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 28th, in St. Mary's Cathedral. Following her cremation she was buried in St Patrick Cemetery.
