Saade T. Saade, 77, of Somerset, husband of Yvette (Houwayek) Saade, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at St. Anne's Hospital after a short illness. Born in Hasarat, Jbeil, Lebanon, a son of the late Tannous Saade and the late Tabita (Assi) Saade, he emigrated to New Bedford in 1989 and resided in Somerset for the past 10+ years.
He was employed as head of Civil Organization for the city of Jbeil in Lebanon. President of the Hasarat Sport Club for many years, Mr. Saade remained its honorary president. He loved playing cards, enjoyed travelling all over the world.
Besides his wife, of 53 years, he is survived by: four children, Yolla Maroun (late husband Bakhos) of Somerset, Toni Saade of Florida, Dani Saade of Lebanon, and Carla Zaarour (husband Joussef) of Somerset; a brother, John Saadi of New Bedford; four sisters, Saadah Saade (late husband Jamile) of Lebanon, Leila Assi (husband Mounir) of Lebanon, Houda Saadi of New Bedford, and Mona Sadaka (husband Habib) of New Bedford; eight grandchildren, Michael Maroun, Dylan Maroun, Saadi Saade, Serena Saade, Edwina Zaarour, Yva Zaarour, Charbel Zaarour, and Macy Zaarour; many nieces and nephews. He was also a brother of the late Ann Saade, Milia Najem, Ghaleb Saade. Rosamal Ibrahim, Jacob Saade, and Joseph Saade.
Following His Funeral Service on Friday, August 13th, during calling hours in our Somerset Chapel, his remains were shipped to his native Lebanon and were buried in the town where he grew up.
