Saleem Michael, 87, a long-time resident of People Incorporated, passed away Saturday, at his residence in Somerset, with his family by his side. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late John and Lateefy (Nader) Michael; brother of the late Margaret Baroody, Esperance "Bessie" Viens, Joseph, Fred and Michael Michael. Saleem is survived by his nieces and nehews: Salwa Chaves, John, Marc, Gary, Gerald, Daniel and Collette Michael, Lila Camara, Giselle Forcier and Glenn Viens, who was also his caretaker along with his wife Nada, and their children, Marcelle Larose and Carlton Viens. He was also uncle of the late Carlton Viens and Ernest "Baron" Baroody. His family would like to thank the staff of People Incoroporated's Read St. Home for their care and compassion. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, February 26th, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
