Sebastiao De Medeiros, 87, of Fall River, husband of Maria C. (Rego) Medeiros, passed away on Friday, November 23, 2018, at Kimwell Nursing Home, after an illness. Born in Pilar Bretanha, St Michael, Azores, a son of the late Joaquim De Medeiros and the late Helena Viveiros, he emigrated to Fall River in 1974.

A weaver in the local textile industry, he had worked with Joan Fabrics for a number of years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and tending his grapevine.

Besides his wife, of 61 years, he leaves: four children, Ilda Barbosa (late husband Joao) of Fall River, Gilbert Medeiros of the Azores, Dimas Medeiros (wife Jackie) of Swansea, and Messias Medeiros (wife Jocelyn) of Swansea; two sisters, Luisa & Lucia; 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, several nieces & nephews. He was also the father of the late Victoria R. Oliveira (husband John Oliveira, of Fall River); and brother of the late Angelina & Joaquim.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Tuesday, November 27th, in Espirito Santo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
