Seraphina "Sarah" Nogueira, 90, of Somerset, wife of Francisco T. Nogueira, Jr., passed away on Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Arrifes, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Seraphim Furtado and the late Mary (Camara) Furtado, she emigrated to Fall River in 1947.

She had first worked at the former Louis Hand, next worked at the Gob Shop formerly of Somerset, and then was employed for many years at the former Vera's Fashions – retiring in 1987. Sarah had enjoyed knitting and going to the beach, but mostly spending time with family.

Besides her husband, of 67 years, she is survived by: a son, Steven P. Nogueira of Somerset; two grandchildren, Randy and Jessica; her cat, Iris, whom she adored; and several nieces and nephews, including her goddaughter, Karen Charette (fiancé Roland Patenaude). She was also the mother of the late Richard T. Nogueira; and the sister of the late Marie E. Charette.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, April 12th, at St. John of God Church in Somerset followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
