Shirley E. Lord, 74, of Punta Gorda Fl, formerly of Fall River, widow of Donald K. Lord, passed on September 13, 2008 at William Bachus Hospital of Norwich CT. Born in Troy NY, daughter of the late Stephen & Julia (Winters) Foley, she lived in Fall River most of her life – residing in Florida for the past 14 years. An avid gardener, she enjoyed traveling and visiting with her family. Mother of Donna L. Petit (husband-Steven) of Plainfield CT, Deborah A. McLain (husband-Leigh) of Long Beach CA, Garry A. Lord (wife-Jen Govero) of Reeds Springs MO, Victoria L. Lord-Amaral of Fall River, Lindy L. Lord-Cooper (husband-Scott) of Punta Gorda FL. Sister of Patricia Forcier (husband-Mark) of Tennessee. She also leaves 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service was held at the funeral home on Wednesday (9/17).
