Siberia Sousa, 90, of Fall River, widow of Raul De Sousa, passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024, at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in the Azores, daughter of the late Antonio Cabral Teixeira and the late Maria Gilda Cabral, she emigrated to Fall River in 1966.

Prior to her retirement from the former Tioga Sportswear, she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local garment industry. A talented cook and seamstress, Siberia enjoyed providing comfort food and clothing for her family, whom she loved spending time with – especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by: two sons, Joseph De Sousa (wife Venilde) of Westport and Armand DeSousa (wife Fern) of Fall River; three grandchildren, Susan Almeida, Bobby DeSousa, and Courtney Pacheco; five great grandchildren, Amaya, Kiara, Brentley, Vivianna, and Cameron.

Her private funeral was held on Monday, March 11th, from our Fall River Chapel with Her Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
