Silvana Luz, of 2446 Highland Ave, formerly of Crane St, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008. Born in Joao Bom, Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jose Carvalho da Luz & the late Maria Filomena (Camara) Luz, she resided in Fall River since 1966 with her late sister, Maria Luz Viveiros and her family. She is survived by: her sister's children, Rosarinha Silva, Jose A. Viveiros, John L. Viveiros Sr. and Maryanne Viveiros all of Fall River; several nieces and nephews in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, St. Augustine, Florida and Tiverton, RI; and several grand-nieces/nephews. She worked for Jodi-Sue Manufacturing as a sewing machine operator, retiring in 1970. She enjoyed freehand machine embroidery, crocheting and spending time with family. She is also a sister of the late: Jose Carvalho formerly of Fall River, Joao da Luz formerly of Montreal, Quebec, Canada; and Antone da Luz formerly of St. Augustine, Florida. Her funeral Mass was celebrated in St Anthony of Padua Church. Committal Service was held at Patrick Cemetery.
