Silvestre F. Miranda, 70, of Swansea, husband of the late Paula A. (Neubauer) Miranda, passed away at home unexpectedly on April 2, 2022. Born in Bretanha, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao Pacheco Miranda and the late Escolastica (Faria) Miranda.

Working in law enforcement for over 30 years, Silvestre was employed at the Massachusetts House of Correction, retiring as lieutenant. He enjoyed vacationing and traveling with his wife, especially to Mexico, Dominican Republic, and Martha's Vineyard.

He is survived by: his loving daughter, Farrah Sousa, and her husband Mitchell, of Fall River; his beloved grandson, Evan Miranda; and his beloved granddaughters, Evangeline and Julianna Sousa. Also surviving are four siblings, Maria Natalia Oliveira, Maria Conceicao Tavares & Inacio Miranda all of Fall River, and Vincent Miranda of Dighton. He was the brother of the late Almorinda Marques, John Miranda, and Antonio Miranda.

His Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, April 13th, during calling hours to be held in our Fall River Chapel. A private cremation followed.
