Silvina R. Carreiro, 65, of Fall River, wife of Luis Carreiro, passed away at home on Monday, November 11, 2019 after an extended illness. Born in Feteira Grande, St. Michael, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Angelo Aguiar and the late Maria do Carmo Resendes. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. A committed and loving wife and mother, Silvina loved cooking, family gatherings, and her daily walks. Despite her illness, she remained brave and strong, always with her infectious smile on her face through it all. Besides her husband of forty-four years, she leaves: her devoted daughter, Kelly Carreiro of New Bedford; her brothers, Laurenio Couto, Angelo Resendes, Duarte Aguiar, all of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Ines Amaral, Catarina Raposo, Jose Resendes, Joao Luis Aguiar, and Rui Couto. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 15th, in Espirito Santo Church.
