Silvino
Raposa
d. Aug 4, 2022
Silvino Raposa, 88, of Westport, husband of Mary (Pereira) Raposa, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Pedreira, Nordeste, St. Michael, Azores, he was a son of the late Joao Pereira Cabral and the late Erondia Cabral.
Prior to his retirement he was a foreman for Narragansett Improvement Company for many years. An avid sports fan, particularly of boxing and football, he also loved gardening and simply being outdoors keeping his property in meticulous condition. He enjoyed traveling extensively with his wife to such places as Aruba, Cancun, Portugal, and annually to Fort Myers, Florida. But what was most important to Silvino was spending quality time with all his family.
Besides his devoted wife of sixty-seven years, he leaves his two loving sons, Edward P. Raposa and his wife, Roxanne, of Westport, and Michael Raposa and his wife, Tanya, of Dartmouth; his four grandchildren, Joshua Raposa, Tyler Raposa, Justine Raposa, and Landon Raposa; and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Albert Raposa, Eduardo Raposa, and Manuel Raposa.
His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, August 12th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.

Thank you!
