Stephen Ferreira, 87, of Somerset, husband of the late Maria "Connie"(Jacob) Ferreira, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 at Mass General Hospital following a brief illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late John Ferreira and the late Maximina (Cabral) Ferreira.

Prior to his retirement he was a machinist in the local textile industry for many years. He loved his frequent trips to the casino, the company of his dog, Ginger, and meeting up with his circle of friends at Dunkin Donuts. But what was most important to Stephen was spending quality time with all of his family.

He leaves his loving children, Robert S. Ferreira and his wife, Shelly, Sylienne Crisafulli and her husband, Andrew, both of Somerset, and Paulette Corvi and her husband Armand of Barrington, Rhode Island; his eight grandchildren, Kayleigh Vieira, Ashleigh Redding, Courtney Ferreira, Alyssa Corvi, Alex Corvi, Andre Corvi, Gwenyth Duclos, and Carson Crisafulli; and three great-grandchildren, Makenna Cabral, Jamyson Cabral, and Peter Redding.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, November 2nd, at St. John of God Church in Somerset followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in Stephen's memory to: Swansea Animal Shelter, 68 Stevens Road, Swansea, MA, 02777.
