Stephen Thomas Gomes, 76, of Fall River, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital, after an illness. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Emery Medeiros Gomes and the late Mary T. (Cabral) Gomes.

With a bachelor's degree from Roger Williams College, and a master's degree in education from Suffolk University, Mr. Gomes was a middle school teacher for about 30 years in the Westport community school system.

He is survived by two brothers, Emery M. Gomes, Jr. (wife Phyllis) and Andrew P. Gomes both of Fall River, and a nephew/godson, Emery M. Gomes.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 22nd, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
