Steven Robert Desjarlais, of Somerset, husband of Karen A. (Souza) Desjarlais, passed away peacefully in the comforts of his home on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 following a long illness. Born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Ernest E. Desjarlais and the late Nancy A. (Perron) Desjarlais.

Prior to his illness he worked as a local truck driver for many years. He loved deer hunting, riding his Harley, and keeping his home in good repair. He also enjoyed road trips to New Hampshire and his travels to Florida. Most notably, Steven relished the quality time he spent with his family.

Besides his devoted and loving wife of thirty-three years, he leaves his daughters, Katie Desjarlais and Kara Desjarlais; his grandson, Lincoln Steven Costeira; one sister; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

Steven's family would like to acknowledge Compassionate Care Hospice for the exceptional care and kindness extended to him during his illness and final days.
