Susan (Hanrahan) Hart, formerly of Fall River, passed away March 27th at Clifton Rehabilitation Nursing Home after a period of declining health. She was predeceased by her husband of 55 years, Joseph T. Hart.

Susan was born in New Bedford and was the daughter of the late James A. and Martha M. (McQuade) Hanrahan. She was a graduate of New Bedford High School and the Kinyon-Campbell Business School. She spent most of her career working at the Metropolitan Insurance Company (MetLife) in the Fall River office of William Durkin.

In her leisure time, Sue enjoyed shopping, including online shopping, cooking, and crossword puzzling. As the daughter of a talented musician, she had a fondness for the classics of the Big Band Era. In addition to the company of friends and family, she appreciated the companionship of her feline friends.

Susan is survived by her brother David and his wife Jane of Venice, Florida, and many nieces and nephews, including JoAnn Melchert, her loving caregiver. She was also the sister of the late James A. Hanrahan, Jr.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, April 3rd, in Holy Name Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery both in Fall River.
