Susan A. Pettine, 76, of Rehoboth, widow of Louis D. Pettine, passed away on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Charlton Memorial Hospital following complications from cardiac illness. The daughter of the late William and Lena Barnes, she was born in Fall River where she resided most of her life, living in Rehoboth for the past 6 years.

A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, Fitchburg State College and Lesley College, Susan was an avid reader and dedicated teacher. An educator in the Fall River Public School system, she taught at Laurel Lake Elementary School for many years. Susan enjoyed being a member of the Westport Yacht Club and was active in the Horton Estates community.

Survivors include: a son, Jeffrey Pettine (wife Suzanne) of North Dighton; a daughter, Amy Pettine (husband Jeffrey Drury) of Barrington, RI.  She is also the beloved Glamma of six grandchildren, Isabella, Corina, Nicholas & Leonora Pettine, and Samantha & Max Drury. She was also the mother of the late Michael Pettine.

Her funeral arrangements were private.

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Susan's love for our beloved pets, the family suggests a donation to the Rehoboth Animal Shelter, 148 Peck Street Rehoboth, MA 02769.
