Susana J. Diaz, 39, of 57 17th St, Fall River, wife of Marco A. Valdivia, died Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2007 at home after a long illness. Born in Santiago, Chile, daughter of Carlos Diaz and Graciela Cuevas of Santiago, she emigrated to Fall River 1995. As a nurse in Chile Susana was passionate in her care for those who were poor and suffering. She enjoyed painting, sports and taking long walks. Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by: 2 children, Rebecca & Mark Valdivia Diaz both of Fall River; 5 siblings, Carlos, Elizabeth, Silvia, Sandra and Marcello Diaz Cuevas all of Chile; her paternal grandmother, Raquel Carmona of Santiago, Chile; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father George Harrison, was offered on Saturday (12/15) in Holy Name Church.
