Tammy M. Almeida, 58, of Somerset, wife of Fernando Almeida, passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at Charlton Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born in Providence, R. I., a daughter of John and Nancy (De Mello) Le Maire of Swansea, she lived most of her life in Swansea and resided in Somerset for the past 10 years.

She was employed in the local garment industry and worked as a nurse's aide at local area nursing homes, including Country Gardens and Crestwood. She loved to read and enjoyed crochet and embroidery.

Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by: a son, Joseph M. Le Maire (fiancée Karen Lopes) of Fall River; three siblings, David Le Maire of Fall River, Shelby Morton of East Greenwich, R.I., and Jaqueline Santos of Fall River; and many nieces and nephews.

Following a private cremation, her family celebrated her life with a private memorial service.
