Teresa Martins, 65, of Fall River, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007 at St. Anne's Hospital. Born in San Pedro, St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel & Maria dos Anjos (Calmeira) Martins, she emigrated to fall River in 1967. She was a self-employed seamstress for many years, recently retired. She loved the ocean and enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Survivors include: daughter Stacey M. Paradise, son Corey R. Paradise and stepson Shane J. Paradise all of Fall River; brother Manuel Martins, sisters Maria Jose Pacheco, Zelia Estrela and Maria da Lourdes Raposo all of Fall River; several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass, celebrated by Father Brian Albino, was offered on Wednesday (12/19) in St Anthony of Padua Church. Committal services followed at Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers were Josh Estrela, Rudy Paradise, Shane Paradise, Jason Viveiros, Ron Boivin and Dennis Raposo.
