Thaddeus M. Karcz, of Somerset, husband of Sandra A. (Alvarnas) Karcz, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Fall River, the son of the late Thaddeus H. Karcz and the late Bertha (Serba) Karcz, he resided in Somerset for the past 51 years.

Prior to his retiring about 10 years ago, Thaddeus was employed as a civil engineer for many years with Garofalo Associates of Providence, RI. He enjoyed fishing, doing puzzles, and spending time with family. Thaddeus and his wife especially loved going to the beach and riding their motorcycles together.

Besides his wife, of 58 years, he is survived by: three children, Paul Karcz (wife Krissy) of Warwick, RI, Christine Rapoza (husband Paul) of Tiverton, RI, and Michael Karcz (wife Nicole) of Somerset; one sister, Janice Vacarro of Mashpee, MA; seven grandchildren, Jesse, Brittney, Jayden, Eli, Brady, Makenzie, and Connor; five great grandchildren, Teddy, Ava, Wednesday, Norma, and Leo; and several nieces and nephews.

Following a private cremation, a memorial visitation period was held on Thursday, April 27th, in our Somerset Chapel. His Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, April 28th, at Holy Trinity Parish Church in Fall River followed by a private committal and burial of his cremains at Notre Dame.
