Theresa A. (David) Gaspar, age 84, widow of Louis C. Gaspar, passed away in Fall River, Massachusetts, Friday, April 26, 2013, at the Crawford Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, following an extended illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Saleem David and the late Manzar (Attar) David. Although a resident of Fall River for most her life, she lived with her daughter in Tiverton, Rhode Island, for several years until her disability forced her into nursing care. Theresa worked at a local garment shop for several years until her family began to grow. She never regretted the decision to remain at home in the company of her family, especially with her grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She also enjoyed playing bingo with her sister Louise. An active member of St Anthony of the Desert Church for many years, she was also a member of their Blessed Women's Guild. Surviving family members include two sons; Robert M. Gaspar (wife Tina) of Newcastle, OK, and Kenneth M. Gaspar (wife Lori) of Monett, MO, a daughter, Gail A. Fernandes (husband Louis) of Tiverton, RI, a brother, John David (wife Dolores) of Germantown, MD, a sister, Louise (David) Mello of Fall River, seven grandchildren; Marc Fernandes (wife Aimee) of Snowmass, CO, Scott Fernandes of Denver, CO, Jessica Fernandes of Tiverton, Jarrett Gaspar of Fall River, Stephanie (Gaspar) Brenton (husband Greg) of Springfield, MO, Melissa Gaspar of Monett, MO, and Heidi Sebastiano of Bangor, ME, four great grandchildren; Kyle Fernandes and Isabella Marsden, both of Tiverton, Courtney Sebastiano and Tiffany Sebastiano, both of Bangor, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the mother of the late Louis M. Gaspar, and sister of the late Michael David, Toufic David, Morin David, Nora Peters and Tophia Cummings. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday, May 2, in St. Anthony of the Desert Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick's Cemetery.
