Theresa Luiz, 93, of Fall River, wife of the late Jaime Luiz, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Sarah Brayton Nursing Home following a long illness. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Cardoza and the late Maria (Estrella) Cardoza.

Prior to her retirement she worked as a sewing machine operator in the local textile industry for many years. She loved cooking, dining out with her sister, the beach, and shopping. She also enjoyed Hallmark movies, getting her hair and nails done, and traveling to such places as the Bahamas, Bermuda, Jamaica, and Florida. Most important to Theresa was spending quality time with all her family.

She leaves her three daughters, Nancy Stellakis (late husband, Demetrius) of New Hampshire, Rita Boucher and her husband, Michael, of Connecticut, and Deborah Rodrigues and her husband, Manuel, of Florida; her five grandchildren, Christie Pereira, Jaime Pereira, Michael Boucher, Ashley Boucher, and Isaac Rodrigues; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Agnes Costa, Irene Vincent, Rose Bolger, Dorothy Cardoza, Georgelina Hicks, and Manuel Faria.

Her funeral arrangements were private.
