Theresa "Terry" Rodrigues, 88, of Swansea, passed away on Monday. She was the widow of Richard Rodrigues. Born in Fall River, daughter of the late Peter and Adeline (Fournier) McCormack. For many years, she worked in the receiving department at Sears in Swansea. An active parishioner of St. Dominic Church in Swansea, she was a lector and served as eucharistic minister, having brought communion to hospitals, nursing homes and many parishioners who could not leave their houses. She was also greatly involved with the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Before her beloved husband Richard passed away this past May, Terry had enjoyed their local routine; coffee with friends at Rte. 6 Dunkin Donuts, swimming at the Quality Inn on Rte. 103, walking the Swansea Mall and relaxing at Swansea Town Beach. She loved her family, but held a special place in her heart for her grandchildren, having spent many hours caring for them and including them into her "routine". Terry would tell her grandchildren, "I love you with all my heart". She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. She was the mother of Richard Rodrigues (wife-Agnes) of Fall River and Paul Rodrigues (wife –Gisele) of Warren, RI; grandmother of Kristen, Corey, Seth, Jessica and Nicholas; great grandmother of Diem, Madison, Mikaela, Molly and "one on the way"; sister of the late Alice Jacintho, Doris Almeida, Anna Hughes, Evelyn McCormack, Loretta Glenn, Henry McCormack, Louis McCormack and Raymond McCormack. She also leave several nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, November 13th, in St. Dominic Church in Swansea followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
