Theresa Lorraine Tavares, 70, of Leesburg, FL and formerly of Westport, MA passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday in Florida. She was the wife of Wilson Tavares, with whom she shared 50 years of marriage. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Maurice and Adelia Cote. Catholic by faith, she was a devoted wife and loving mother who was much loved by her family and friends and will truly be missed by all. Survivors include her son, David Tavares; daughters, Mary Demers (husband Robert Demers) and Susan Viveiros; sisters, Clare, Janice and Pat; brothers, Tom and Jim; grandchildren, Christopher, Keith, Amanda and Jacob. She was also sister of the late Delores and Maurice. Arrangements are being held in Florida. In lieu of flowers please say a prayer in Theresa's name.
