Thomas Alden Brabant, 56, of Fall River, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020. Born in Fall River, he was a son of Marlene (Johnson) Brabant of Fall River and the late Roland Brabant.

A graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Thomas was a commercial fisherman for many years. He was passionate about fishing; and he loved music, for which he had a natural talent. He could play almost any instrument, and he owned many – clarinet, saxophone, flute, guitar, keyboard. On occasion he would perform on the organ at First Baptist Church on Main Street in Fall River, where he was a member.

He is survived by: two children, Thomas Brabant, Jr. and Hailey Brabant both of Fall River; five grandchildren, Izeyah Brabant, Chase Brabant, Lilyanna Leduc, Carter Brabant, and David Leduc III; six siblings, Michael Brabant, Steven Brabant, Carl Duchaine, Celina Brabant, Ronald Brabant, and Loralee Levesque; several aunts, uncles & cousins, and many nieces & nephews. He was also a brother of the late Eric Brabant. Thomas was also the former husband of Germaine De Melo.

Due to the covid pandemic, a private funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 31st, in our Fall River Chapel followed by his later cremation.

Family members are always grateful for relatives and friends wishing to make in-person expressions of kindness and support. But, because of this pandemic, all are urged to express sympathy online or by mail.
