Thomas R. Medeiros, age 61, born July, 6 1948 , passed away in Fall River on Wednesday, January 13th, 2010. Born in Portugal, on the island of Sao Miguel, he arrived in the United States at the age of fourteen, worked in the masonry trades for many years and operated a landscaping business. He also owned and operated a bar/pub. He was the son of the late Manuel P. Medeiros. Survivors include his mother, Louisa (Amaral) Medeiros, former spouse and beloved companion Donna (Rutkowski) Medeiros, his children, Thomas G. Medeiros and Dennis J. Medeiros,and the late Lorraine A. Medeiros; his two granddaughters Kayla & Victoria Medeiros, his brothers, Manuel Medeiros, John Medeiros, Benny Medeiros, Joe Medeiros, and Sylvester Medeiros; his sisters, Louise Daniels, Mary Ann Stanley, Pauline Medeiros, Maria Medeiros and Lucy Lopes; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Tony Medeiros, Norbert Medeiros, Cesar Medeiros and Anna Medeiros. Mr. Medeiros enjoyed fine dining, and attending Portuguese feasts during the summer time. He always took great pride in maintaining his appearance and living life to the fullest. He enjoyed cooking Portuguese dinners for his family and friends. He loved the city of Providence, Rhode Island where he spent quality time with family and friends. Mr. Medeiros had many friends that loved and adored him, and he will be greatly missed by many. Funeral was private.
