Tiago D. Borges, 60, of Wood Street, Somerset, passed away Wednesday after a short illness. Husband of Alda (Viveiros) Borges. Born in Capelas, St. Michael, Azores, son of Maria (Sousa) Borges and the late Herculano Borges. He was employed by Duro Finishing for over 30 years. He was an avid fan of Sporting Soccer Team. He served in the Portuguese Army. Besides his wife and mother, survivors include: daughter, Sally Borges; sons, Richard and David Borges; beloved grandchildren, Kyle and Samantha; brothers, Tobias Sousa Borges, Joao Francisco Borges, Pedro Simao Borges and Jose Maria Borges; sister Maria Viverios and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday (12/5) at St. John of God Church in Somerset followed by a committal service at Notre Dame Cemetery. Pallbearers were Michael Camara, John Viveiros, Simon, Alexander, David and Richard Borges.
