Tiberio C. Lopes, 79, of Swansea, husband of Leonor (Caetano) Lopes, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. Born in Povoacao, St. Michael, Azores, he was the son of the late Renato and Maria Rosa (Carreiro) Lopes. Tiberio was owner and operator of Central Bakery, a business that he was very passionate and proud of. He was a hard-working, determined man who showed his love for his family through his unspoken actions. Tiberio also enjoyed family gatherings and watching soccer on TV. Besides his wife of fifty years, he leaves: his three sons: Robert C. Lopes of Swansea, Paul C. Lopes and his wife Lori, and David C. Lopes of Fall River; his three grandchildren, Kelsie Lopes, Ryan Lopes, and Lea Lopes; a sister, Conceicao Perreira and her husband Joao of Swansea; and several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, December 14th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
