Urbana M. (Cardoso) Costa, 81, of Fall River, loving and devoted widow of John C. Costa, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at Sarah S. Brayton Nursing Center.  Born in Lajes, Terceira, Azores, she was a daughter of the late Daniel DeSousa Romeiro and the late Herminia A. Pires.

Urbana enjoyed going on cruises, dinner parties, spending time with family and friends, going on walks, gardening, crafts and decorating. She was also a long-time member of the Ateneu Luso Americano Club where she would meet up with many of her friends.

She leaves her loving daughter, Lauriann Ferreira of Fall River, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her son, Danny J. Costa; and by her brother, Libanio Cardoso.

Following a private cremation, Her Memorial Funeral Mass was celebrated on Saturday, April 11th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal and burial of her cremains, along with those of her husband, at Notre Dame Cemetery.
