Valentino S. Gaspar, 85, formerly of Hill St., passed away Oct 2nd after a long illness. Born in Fall River, son of the late Jose Gaspar and Angelina (Santos) Rodrigues formerly Gaspar. An Army veteran of the Korean War, Val worked at the former Taunton State Hospital for 35 years. Father of Joanne Pacheco, Linda Crutchfield and Bobbie Gaspar; brother of Joseph Gaspar, Mary Souza, Adeline Travers formerly Arruda and the late Edelino Gaspar, Delvina Ferrara and Maximina Rodgers; former husband of the late Elizabeth (Amorin) Gaspar. He also leaves several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services were private.
