Velma (Botelho) Barboza, beloved wife of Edward Barboza, passed away peacefully after a short illness on June 18 at the age of 81. Velma and Edward Barboza were lovingly married for 61 years. Beloved mother of Debra Lynn Howarth, Gary Barboza (wife- Sandra Lee) and Rodney Barboza (fiancé-Jody Minick); loving grandmother of William Howarth III, Christopher Howarth, Gareth and Samantha Barboza; great grandmother of Kole and Mason Howarth. She also leaves several nieces and nephews. Velma's life enjoyment was being surrounded by her family. During these times many loving, unforgettable memories were created and shared and will never be forgotten. Mrs. Barboza also very much enjoyed cooking in the kitchen. By her hands, "Velma Burgers" were lovingly crafted and remain a family favorite. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, June 21, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patirck's Cemetery.
