Veneranda B. Medeiros, 89, formerly of Eastern Ave., passed away Wednesday after a long illness. Widow of Ventura C. Medeiros. Born in Agua Retorta, St. Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Soares) Botelho. A retired textile worker, she was the beloved mother of Jose Cabral (wife Rosa) of Toronto, Manuel Medeiros (wife-Connie) of Dartmouth and Gualdino Medeiros (wife-Goretti) of Fall River; grandmother of Cristina Franco, Michelle Cabral, Kristle Cote, Tracey and Vanessa Medeiros and the late Scott Medeiros; great grandmother of Alexis Genevieve Franco. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, March 24, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at St. Patrick Cemetery.
