Ventura P. Teixeira, 84, of Fall River, husband of the late Cecilia P. (Medeiros) Teixeira, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, with his children by his side. Born in Agua Retorta, Sao Miguel, Acores, Ventura was the son of the late Manuel Raposo Teixeira and Maria Pimentel Teixeira.

Prior to emigrating to the United States of America, he worked for the Portuguese Telephone Company. Once in the US, he worked in the textile industry until his retirement. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Fall River. Ventura enjoyed spending time with his family and close friends, reading, watching soccer, especially his favorite team FC Porto, and gardening.

He leaves his three sons, Helder Teixeira, John Teixeira, both of Fall River, and Pedro Teixeira and his wife, Kimberlee Trudeau, of Needham; his beloved grandson, Henry Trudeau Teixeira; a brother, Joao Pimentel Teixeira (Joao Raposo) of Ponta Delgada, Soa Miguel, Acores and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria Simao (Dora), Manuel Pimentel (Manuel Raposo), Irene Raposo Torres and Isabel Raposo Carreiro.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Monday, November 7th, in St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by his committal at Oak Grove Cemetery.
