Virginia Ferreira, 90, of Fall River, widow of Manuel Ferreira, died Thursday 8/16/12 at Crawford Nursing Home. Born in St Michael, Azores, daughter of the late Jacinto & Maria I (Cordeiro) Ferreira, she emigrated to Fall River in 1970. Mother of Manuel J. Ferreira (wife Amanda) of Fall River, and Valentina Oliveira (late husband Jose) of Dartmouth; sister of Belmira Candido of Canada, Odelia Ferreira of Dartmouth, Maria Berenguer of Fall River, and the late Delfina Pereira, Maria L. Cabral, Fernando & Jacinto Ferreira. She also leaves 4 grandchildren, Celia McCrea, Lisa Correia, Scottie & Jessie Ferreira; 5 great grandchildren, Taylor, Dylan, Ian, Alexia & Jayla; several nieces and nephews. Her funeral Mass was celebrated on August 20th at Espirito Santo Church. She was laid to rest at Notre Dame Cemetery.
