Virginia (Costa) Pitta, 94, of New Braintree, formerly of Fall River, widow of Manuel F. Pitta, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20, 2026, at Quaboag Rehabilitation and Skilled Care Center, in West Brookfield, MA. Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Frank R. Costa and the late Virginia (Silva) Costa.

Prior to retirement, Virginia worked as a machine operator for a local textile company. She loved caring for the elderly and was extremely kind-hearted and sociable.

She leaves her sister Isabel Bonneau and her husband Samuel, of New Braintree and several nieces and nephews. Virginia was predeceased by her siblings: Manuel Costa, Frank Costa, Luis Costa and Mary Costa.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, March 27th, at St. Anthony of Padua Church followed by her committal at Notre Dame Cemetery, both in Fall River.
