Vital Oliveira, 65, of Swansea, passed away Saturday unexpectedly. Long-time companion of the late Alda Cordeiro. Born in Sao Jorge, Azores, son of the late Edmundo and Virginia Oliveira. He was a retired construction laborer. A drummer, he participated in many Holy Ghost Feasts for the Banda Filarmonica Santa Cecilia Club. Beloved father of Jennifer Resendes (husband – Joao), Steve and Michelle Oliveira; brother of Antonio Oliveira and nephew of Isabel Leal. Vital also leaves 11 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Friday, May 1st, in Santo Christo Church followed by his committal at Notre Dame Cemetery.
